your travel to lava creek lodge
step 1: fly into anchorage, alaska
Plan to arrive in Anchorage the day before your trip begins. You’ll spend one night in Anchorage before catching a morning flight to King Salmon.
step 2: early flight to king salmon
Take the morning Alaska Airlines flight from Anchorage to King Salmon (AKN). This flight typically departs early, so check Alaska Airlines’ schedule and book in advance.
step 3: meet with branch river air
Once you land in King Salmon, a representative from Branch River Air will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the floatplane dock.
step 4: floatplane to the lodge
Enjoy a scenic 1-hour flight to the lodge. Most guests arrive at Lava Creek in the early afternoon, in time to settle in before a light lunch at the lodge.
step 5: departure day
At the end of your stay, we’ll have you back in King Salmon in time to catch the afternoon Alaska Airlines flight back to Anchorage.
